? Since its inception in 1968 and founding in 1969, the Chamber?s membership base has matured from a few companies to over 500 corporations. Chamber members range from small firms to Fortune 500 companies and operate in a variety of areas, including the primary, manufacturing, and service sectors.
? The Chamber organizes an active series of events throughout the year, including breakfast seminars, afternoon roundtable discussions, luncheons, high-profile conferences, business networking receptions, and gala events. Seminar speakers include top players from both the public and private sectors of the international community. The Chamber?s two most important annual events are the Person of the Year Awards Dinner (a gala event honoring one American and one Brazilian who have made outstanding contributions to bilateral business development) and the Brazil Economic Conference (the single most important event in the US on the Brazilian economy).
? The Chamber also serves as a clearinghouse of information on the Brazilian market, publishing a number of business resources throughout the year. The Chamber?s annual Business Review/Directory offers over 250 pages of information on conducting business in Brazil, including a special research supplement on a particular sector of the Brazilian economy. The organization?s quarterly business magazine and website also provide a wealth of information to member companies and individuals actively engaged in Brazil-US relations.
