Leading Australian plant-based meat company, Fenn Foods, has just doubled its retail range introducing six new products set to hit selected Woolworths shelves this week.
Fenn Foods co-founder and CEO Alejandro Cancino, is proud of how far the company has come despite the current health crisis;
“We launched our first retail product in 2018 which was on Woolworths shelves within a year of launching, almost unheard of in this space. We have now entered multiple categories in major supermarkets which has given us the platform to increase brand awareness and spread our message of sustainability.”
The latest ranges from vEEF® include a range of ‘pulled’ meat products in pork, beef and lamb flavours. This vEEF® Artisan range is the first mushroom based vegan meat to be produced in Australia and offers consumers a delicious, ready-made solution.
The innovative company have also created something for time-poor families wanting to get a healthy, plant-based meal on the table with minimum-fuss. vEEF® Signature range includes ready-made family favourites like Butter “Chicken”, “Meatloaf” with a BBQ Glaze and “Meatballs” in a Tomato Sauce.
With around 6 in 10 Australians now wanting to try plant-based meats1, vEEF™ have no plans to slow down their product development;

Highly awarded chef Alejandro Cancino never set out to become a pioneer of the plant-based cooking scene. And yet – having spent many years building a remarkably successful career as a respected culinary talent, Alejandro made the bold decision to found Fenn Foods, a company which is now leading the plant-based meat industry in Australia
Alejandro trained internationally at Mugaritz in Spain, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in England and at Bulgari in Japan. In 2008, he was awarded Young Chef of the Year in the UK, then, in 2013, Best New Talent in Australia, and Chef of the Year in Queensland. Under his leadership, he saw Brisbane’s acclaimed restaurant Urbane grow from a two-hatted to a three-hatted venue – becoming one of only six restaurants in Australia to share this achievement.
Now, Alejandro, alongside Paola and his young daughter Lola, is focused on creating high quality, delicious plant-based meat products with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability.
