pei tel is further expanding its range of broadband solutions.
More diverse than ever before: pei tel Communications GmbH, which is based in Teltow, near Berlin, is further expanding its range of broadband solutions. With its highly rugged PT-B800 and PT-C600 smartphones and the PT-Q810 tablet, the company now offers PTToC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) models of its own for the first time. All three, along with the new PTCarPhone 6 PTT car phone, feature a physical PTT button, harnessing a function familiar from radio devices and using it in broadband solutions as well. pei tel Communications GmbH will be unveiling these models at booth B12 at PMRExpo 2021, to be held in Cologne November 23–25. Another new solution making its premiere at the fair is the pei2talk platform, which enables standardized group communication across different devices and systems.
“Broadband solutions are becoming increasingly attractive for safety-critical communications. Our new models combine the multimedia options offered by smartphones and tablets with the ruggedness and ease of use of traditional radios,” says Thomas Martin, CEO of pei tel. One key advantage of the PT-B800, PT-C600, and PT-Q810 is that they use existing mobile networks. This means high availability can be guaranteed at low cost. The devices also offer an expanded range of user features and connectivity options for external devices such as printers and scanners. The smartphones and tablets are also easy to set up, configure, and manage remotely.
The new PTCarPhone 6 PTT was specifically designed for use in vehicles. Unlike the existing PTCarPhone 6, the new model is equipped with the pei2talk client (software), which unlocks direct communication with the new pei2talk app. It also features a built-in PTT button and comes in two versions. In addition to the standard version, which comes with the HA59 PTT handset, there is also a version with the extremely rugged HA40 PTT. This one features a PTT and emergency button on the side, along with an innovative magnetic holder, a headset connection, and a transflective display. The handset can also be used like a microphone speaker or palm microphone, so the device does not need to be held up directly to the ear during a conversation.
pei tel offers the new pei2talk platform for managing the various devices. This solution enables smooth group communication, regardless of whether participants are on the road or at a fixed workstation. In addition to conventional radio technology, pei2talk also uses 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi networks. This means communication is possible with no problems, not just regionally but even internationally. Beyond that, users can share not only voice, but also images, documents, text messages, and videos. Industry attendees at PMRExpo 2021 will have the opportunity to form their own impressions of the new broadband solutions.
pei tel began distributing high-quality communication solutions in addition to developing and manufacturing them at the start of last year. As a result, the company will be presenting not only its own products, but also its broad range of more than 7,000 items from other manufacturers at PMRExpo 2021. Visitors can visit four different solution islands to explore professional radio technology from Motorola Solutions in detail, along with solutions for mobile and indoor radio from well-known producers like Radio Frequency Systems, PBE Axell, PROCOM, CommScope, and more. Specialists from manufacturers Huber+Suhner and MECSware and cooperation partner FTI Engineering Network will be in attendance to present their products and solutions. The proven pei tel products for perfect voice transmission will also be represented. These include various microphones, speakers, handsets, and desktop microphones.
