Yoran Van Eekert is a Solution Development Engineer at E’log Automation in Antwerp, Belgium.
E’log Automation, a young and growing company, has dramatically increased its efficiency and client satisfaction through the use of CET Essentials for Material Handling. Yoran Van Eekert, Solution Development Engineer and an integral part of the E’log team, has been a CET user for several years. He says that due to the software’s efficiency, a single design project that used to take up to two days to complete can now be done in half a day’s time.
E’log Automation, is a fairly new company but they’re already making strides in the automation sector, offering powerful supply chain solutions backed by impressive visuals and technical expertise. The company began using CET in early 2023, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool, enhancing proposals, client presentations and overall workflow.
As an independent integrator, E’log decided to use the generic CET version, CET Essentials, as it doesn’t limit itself to specific components tied to a specific manufacturer. “We have different partners for each subsystem and when drawing the layout, the partner for that project is not yet defined,” Van Eekert said. “This way, E’log can keep being an independent integrator without limiting itself to specific components.”
“At E’log, we are logistic automation experts. We believe better solutions start with more efficient design processes, and CET is instrumental in delivering this. We strive for simplexity, a possible complementary relationship between complexity and simplicity. No need to reinvent the wheel, especially when relying on proven technology and strong partnership,” Van Eekert said. “The ease with which we can rearrange and optimize layouts within CET is unmatched.”
Van Eekert uses CET to design and present comprehensive plans to clients, incorporating 3D visualizations and renderings that offer a clearer understanding of the proposed design and solutions. He said, “The ability to create one comprehensive layout in CET and then using Twinmotion to visualize everything together in a single program gives our clients a better understanding of what they are getting and how things will function.”
By enhancing the design with Twinmotion’s advanced 3D rendering capabilities, it’s easy for clients to see and understand how people would utilize their physical space when completed. “I love seeing the clients’ expressions when they see how the entire space can be transformed in just a few clicks. It astounds the customer when we bring their space to life in impressive 3D visuals,” added Van Eekert. CET allows him to work quicker, putting together projects four times faster than using other software, such as AutoCAD.
While E’log Automation is still in its growth phase, CET has been instrumental in presenting detailed, professional and engaging proposals to their clients. “CET is a helpful tool for us. It has allowed us to focus on being the automation expert our clients expect.”
Van Eekert appreciates the efficiency of CET and how it allows him to create the best solution for each client. His best CET tip is to make full use of the software’s ability to save time, stating, “CET knows when to include certain accessories or options automatically, which lightens my load. I trust CET and its built-in mechanics.”
When not working, Van Eekert enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. He strives to embody the spirit of innovation and adaptability that characterizes E’log Automation.
