Energy Drive appoints Dr Nicholas Moelders as Global COO to spearhead global operations and North American growth.

United States – Energy Drive, a provider of zero-capex energy efficiency solutions for large motors in the mining & metals industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nicholas (Nick) Moelders as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Based in the United States, Nick’s appointment marks a significant step in Energy Drive’s global expansion, enhancing its international leadership and execution strategy as it looks to grow globally.

As COO at Energy Drive, Nick will be responsible for global operations and serve as executive lead in North America, supporting business growth. Nick will oversee the Company’s technological development, engineering implementation, manufacturing, site preparation, supplier partnerships and ongoing site optimization.

Nick brings over 30 years’ experience in the energy sector, across power generation, oil and gas, and clean energy solutions. His career spans operational teams at large-scale manufacturers, both in the US and internationally. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer and an Executive Board member of Equipmake, overseeing operations (including supply chain management, manufacturing and quality control), engineering and customer service. Prior to this, Nick was Vice President and General Manager of Clean Energy Solutions at Sensata Technologies, delivering electrical solutions to the industrial, aerospace and automotive markets. He has also held senior positions at Inventus Power, Halliburton, Cummins, and Honeywell, and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Karlsruhe Institut of Technology in Germany.
