Imint and SIM Technology partner to elevate the video performance of AR headsets and head-worn cameras across industrial applications.

UPPSALA, Sweden — IMINT Image Intelligence AB (“Imint”), a global leader in video enhancement software, today announced it has partnered with SIM Technology, a leading IoT and mobile communication device manufacturer, to elevate the video performance of its AR headsets and head-worn cameras across various industrial applications.

Product development for several AR headsets and head-worn cameras that utilize Vidhance solutions for improved video quality is currently underway, and SIM Technology manufactured products to feature Vidhance solutions will be released in 2022. In addition, Imint will provide SIM Technology with ongoing training and support to ensure excellent performance from all products equipped with Vidhance solutions.

“At Imint, we value strategic collaborations that enable our company to enter fast-growing markets where video stabilization has numerous practical and essential applications,” said Andreas Lifvendahl, CEO, Imint. “Through our partnerships with trailblazing industry-leaders like SIM Technology, we look forward to further accelerating our video enhancement leadership position in the burgeoning AR headset and head-worn camera industry.”

As part of the partnership, specific Imint Vidhance solutions, including Vidhance Video Stabilization and Vidhance Dynamic Motion Blur Reduction, will be pre-integrated into select SIM Technology AR products, to provide a new and improved experience to B-end and C-end customers.

Vidhance Video Stabilization utilizes built-in smartphone sensors to remove unwanted camera movement to produce video stabilization on par with or exceeding dedicated action cameras. It offers low power consumption and high performance even in low light conditions and can be deployed in both real-time and post-processing.

Vidhance Dynamic Motion Blur Reduction learns from ongoing software processing and fine-tunes different video parameters to account for movement and light, thereby minimizing the effects of motion blur.

“SIM Technology is unwaveringly committed to product innovation and excellence, which we achieve through both an internal technical team and strategic partnerships with solution providers like Imint,” stated Xiaoping Dong, XR president, SIM Technology. “Our new AR headsets and head-worn cameras with Vidhance solutions are now equipped with the stable and clear video performance required for the devices to scale across a range of industrial applications. We look forward to continued partnership with Imint and exploring new ways to integrate our premium hardware devices with their Vidhance suite of solutions.”.

Imint’s partnership with SIM Technology demonstrates its growing leadership position in the AR headset and head-worn camera space, after already striking deals with leading providers RealWear and Rokid. In addition to the AR headset and head-worn camera market, Imint is also a leader in smartphone video performance, working with leading brands such as Motorola, Xiaomi, and Vivo, amongst others.
