brown-iposs informs about the presentation of the stream analysis software CARAT at the Mobile Wolrd Congress 2024.
Bonn/Barcelona – 5G private networks enable the use of 5G alongsidepublic mobile networks, for example in campus networks for Industry 4.0. As the networks grow, however, largely automated network optimisation based on intelligent analysis methods is required. With CARAT (Classification and Root-Cause Analysing Tools), brown- iposs is one of the leading software providers in this field.
At this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Bonn-based company will be presenting stream analyses using CARAT. Trade visitors will have the opportunity to experience live at the booth how the connection data is analyzed directly, during the network usage. The methodology and results of the stream analysis will be presented by brown-iposs from 26 to 29 February at the NRW joint stand (Stand CS 318, Hall Congress Square).
The reliability of networks today is the key to successful operation and depends on the right architecture, the right tools and the right expertise. “Modern test and analysis tools are indispensable today, especially in view of the fact that networks are becoming increasingly complex and the ongoing digitalisation is constantly placing new demands on data speed and volumes,” explains Dr Bernd Schroeder, founder and Managing Director of brown-iposs GmbH. “Stream analysis tools, which analyse the data as it is generated, provide particularly helpful support.”
With CARAT, brown-iposs already offers such a software tool on the market since 2022.Through root cause analysis in protocol histories, it provides important insights for optimising network configuration, areas where network performance can be improved and for resolving problems related to network coverage, capacity and quality of service. At Europe’s largest mobile communications trade fair, the provider of software and integration services for mobile and IoT networks will be demonstrating how CARAT detects and describes errors immediately when a connection is established in order to derive optimisation measures in the next step, which in turn can be implemented automatically.
“Stream analyses should primarily be used where 5G networks play a central role or are a prerequisite for smooth operations. Industrial companies benefit from them just as much as railway networks or public authorities,” explains Schroeder, who focuses in particular on larger private networks with his team. With its products and services, the company, which specialises in mobile radio architecture, measurement data, protocol and real-time analysis, primarily supports system integrators, network operators and manufacturers of measurement products in the air interface sector. The steadily growing success of brown-iposs is not only due to its almost 20 years of experience in the market, but also in particular to the extraordinarily high degree of customisation of its products and solutions, which in addition to CARAT also include the WiMAP radio network planning software and AnalyTo, the solution for geo-referenced mobile radio optimisation.
