Shako Flexipack Pvt Ltd, a prominent manufacturer in the Flexible Packaging Industry, sought our expertise to address a pressing issue at their factory located on Mehsana Highway, Rajpur. The factory, measuring 25 meters * 75 meters, was grappling with challenges related to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous chemicals during their printing and packaging processes. The heating and melting of plastic resins in the production of plastic packaging materials also resulted in fumes and emissions, creating an uncomfortable and unhealthy work environment for their employees.
Problem Statement: The use of inks, adhesives, and coatings in the printing and packaging processes led to the release of harmful substances into the air. Additionally, the heating and melting of plastic resins caused the generation of noxious fumes, making it difficult for workers to carry out their tasks efficiently and safely.
Solution Implemented: To tackle this issue, KRISSVENT proposed the installation of Industrial Exhaust Fans, known for their effectiveness in improving indoor air quality. To achieve optimal results, they recommended maintaining a rate of 20 Air Changes Per Hour (ACPH) inside the factory. This meant that every 3 minutes, the entire volume of air inside the building would be replaced with fresh air. This constant air circulation would effectively remove fumes and heat from the working environment, providing a conducive atmosphere for the employees.
KRISSVENT proceeded to install 20 units of their KVS 900 Exhaust Fans, each measuring 1000mm * 1000mm * 400mm. These high-performance exhaust fans boast an impressive airflow capacity of 30,000 m3 per hour. Strategically positioning these fans throughout their factory ensured efficient air exchange, significantly reducing the concentration of harmful substances in the air.
Results: After the installation of the Krissvent Exhaust Fans, Shako Flexipack Pvt Ltd experienced a remarkable improvement in their working conditions. The constant ventilation and elimination of fumes and heat made a significant difference, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for their workforce. Employees could now carry out their tasks with enhanced productivity and reduced health risks associated with prolonged exposure to hazardous fumes.
