November 1, 2023 A+ Gives Day Event Benefit 40 Texas Organizations

Nearly 500 AA+ Federal Credit Union employees volunteered more than 1,750 hours to Central Texas communities and beyond.

AUSTIN, Texas. – A+ Federal Credit Union recently held its second annual community-driven, employee-led event, A+ Gives Day, benefiting Central Texas communities. During the event, nearly 500 A+ Federal Credit Union employees volunteered more than 1,750 hours by participating in a wide range of charitable activities benefitting Central Texas communities, along with helping in areas across the nation where remote team members work. A+ Federal Credit Union utilizes A+ Gives Day as a way to connect its team members with giving back in the areas of food insecurity, animal needs, local park clean up, and community outreach to help make a difference in the local area.

“We’re truly grateful for the amazing and generous volunteers who helped us donate our time and resources to our communities across Central Texas,” said Eric Kase, President and CEO of A+ Federal Credit Union. “A+ Gives Day is our favorite way to show our communities that we are committed to banking on each other and building stronger communities.”

Key highlights from this year’s A+ Gives Day includes:

  • More than 1,750 hours of volunteer time invested in Central Texas and beyond
  • $10,000 donated to four nonprofits
  • $15,000 donated to Austin Habitat for Humanity
  • Volunteer support provided to 40 Central Texas organizations, plus remote team volunteer support given to another 24 organizations across the nation

A+ Federal Credit Union donated $15,000 to Austin Habitat for Humanity, plus, as a first for this year, coordinated a $10,000 donation via a community voting process that generated over 4,750 votes by A+ Federal Credit Union members and partner organization supporters. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, Backpack Friends, HopeAustin, and ROCK Ride On Center for Kids each were awarded $2,500 based on the votes secured by the organizations.
