Share Logistics officially announces its acquisition of Netherlands-based VN Logistics.

Rotterdam, The Netherlands – Share Logistics, a leading global supply chain services provider, officially announces its acquisition of Netherlands based VN Logistics, an integrated logistics services provider, mainly specialized in the Chemicals, Renewables (e.g., Solar panels, Batteries), Cosmetics, Direct Mailings and E-commerce industries. The acquisition follows a long-standing partnership between the two companies.

After successfully cooperating on a variety of projects, we are excited to finally join forces with VN Logistics. The company will enhance our contract logistics capabilities and strengthen our overall global integrated logistics service offering to customers”, says Tristan Bierenbroodspot, Group CEO of Share Logistics.

Share Logistics, a Groupe BBL company, supports customers on the design, management and execution of their global supply chains. Through its highly specialized and dedicated staff, supported by leading edge technology, Share Logistics offers innovative and seamlessly integrated solutions to customers across a wide variety of global industries, e.g. Energy (incl. Renewables), Chemicals, Events, Maritime, Aviation, Automotive, Relocation, Food, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare, E-commerce and General cargo.

Share Logistics is part of Groupe BBL, a global group of supply chain services companies that employs (collectively) over 2.000 specialized staff worldwide and operates more than 300.000 m2 of warehouse space.

Bierenbroodspot continues, “The specialized staff of VN Logistics will bring both new and additional expertise in high growth industries, which supports our long-term strategy that focuses on true industry specialization”. The entire team of VN Logistics will join Share Logistics to drive the growth of the combined business. Share Logistics thereby expands its organization in the Netherlands to approximately 200 employees.

”By joining Share Logistics we are able to provide more global services to our customers, and create new growth opportunities for our staff” explains Geert van der Velden, CEO of VN Logistics.

VN Logistics is recognized for its high quality and personalized customer service. The company offers a global end-to-end and integrated logistics service offering, covering warehousing, value added services, ocean freight, air freight, road freight, intermodal transport, and customs. Share Logistics will bring additional geographical presence and expertise, a wide array of industry knowledge and supply chain design services to customers of VN Logistics.

Van der Velden concludes, “The fact that we now become part of a global team, which not only shares the same values and entrepreneurial culture, but brings vast industry knowledge, and provides access to a large new network of partners and suppliers, offers us a unique opportunity to further support the growth of our customers”.

Share Logistics and VN Logistics will, for the time being, continue to run their operations separately. However, over the coming period the businesses will gradually be integrated. “Combining both businesses ensures that customers can experience the enhanced and extended scope of services. This is the sole purpose of why we are joining forces”, concludes Bierenbroodspot.
