Businesses can compete against ProGlove’s wearable scanners within the parameters of their own warehouse operations.

CHICAGO and MUNICH – ProGlove has argued that many warehouse operators are missing out on the opportunity to raise shopfloor productivity significantly. The wearable tech pioneer claims that its glove scanners can enhance productivity by up to 27 per cent. On the back of its claim, the company has issued a 30-minute challenge to all warehouse operators who dispute the claim. The goal of the challenge is to juxtapose conventional scanner solutions with ProGlove’s award-winning wearable devices. To ensure a fair test, the industry participants can choose the location and nature of the tested use case. The 30-Minute Challenge is free of charge and can be accepted on ProGlove’s website.

A recent demonstration by ProGlove claims that the company’s leading wearable barcode scanners can raise warehouse productivity by 27 per cent. However, the company did not stop there. They also provided an ROI calculator so that warehouse organizations can receive a customized productivity plan to tap into.

30-Minute Challenge is the ultimate test

ProGlove created the 30-Minute Challenge as a means of providing undeniable proof of the productivity benefits offered by its technology. During the initial challenge at a healthcare logistics competitor’s location, ProGlove’s wearable barcode scanners significantly expedited a forklift picking task, reducing the time for 12 picks by 30 seconds, equivalent to 2.3 seconds per scan. These kinds of micro-efficiencies scale exponentially with iterative jobs. Ultimately, they increase throughput, improve process reliability, and enhance safety as well as worker well-being.

“Not only does our technology raise productivity, but it also enhances the worker’s ability to complete tasks quickly and safely by eliminating counter-intuitive or unnatural movements,” said Dunja Riehemann, Chief Marketing Officer at ProGlove. “Additionally, our wearable scanners are significantly lighter than conventional mobile data-capturing solutions or other traditional scanners- these advantages compound in high-frequency scanning environments. The aim of the challenge is to prove these compelling benefits beyond any reasonable doubt. To compete against us, warehouse management simply needs to register on our website. We will then be in touch to organize the rest.”
