October 18, 2022 Körber Recognized by Gartner Report

Körber has expanded its warehouse capabilities to improve labor engagement.

Hamburg. Körber is recognized in all five warehouse operation Use Cases in the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Report. The report, which Körber considers a relevant source for businesses to align their warehouse complexity with specific WMS solutions, is the sequential report to the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for WMS report that placed Körber as a Leader for the fourth time in a row.

“Körber is committed to turning complexity into opportunity, and we believe our continued recognition for complex workflows affirms to us that we are headed in the right direction,” said Chad Collins, CEO Software, Körber Business Area Supply Chain. “That starts with the technology to help our customers deploy safe and efficient operations for the benefit of future-proof supply chain processes. Next to that, we are providing the technology that is considerate of increasing industry trends and challenges, especially in the field of labor, to develop innovative solutions not just for today but also as the needs of our customers continue to evolve.”

According to Körber, the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Report exemplifies that their scalable warehouse solutions are equipped to address a broad range of supply chain needs to fit a company’s size, business strategy, and appetite for growth. From the initial order to the last mile, Körber provides full insight and management of supply chains with its unmatched depth of technologies. This spans warehouse management and control, simulation, voice, robotics and beyond. Adding to that, Körber’s end-to-end technologies stand out through their intrinsic labor-engaging capabilities around ergonomics and safety while increasing transparency across workflows to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Companies worldwide enhance operations with Kӧrber’s unique depth of solution:

  • Ariat combined Körber’s WMS and an AMR solution from Geek+ to improve customer and employee experiences while enable workforce flexibility.
  • Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, trusts Kӧrber’s voice solutions to increase labor productivity among over 2,000 users over 14 sites, along with Körber’s warehouse modelling and simulation software, and will soon include Kӧrber’s WMS, empowering enhanced adaptability.
  • Australian chain of office supply stores Officeworks accounts for benefits around employee wellbeing and occupational health and safety with more than 100 AMRs, voice and RF users, and Kӧrber’s WMS.
  • dm-drogerie markt, Germany’s leading drugstore chain, was awarded the German Logistics Prize 2020 and has been relying on Körber’s WMS at all of its sites for 25 years as part of its efficient, employee-oriented logistics IT.

Körber views the recognition in the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Report in alignment with the motivation behind their strategic partnership with KKR, a leading global investment firm. Announced in 2021, the goal was to expand the company’s geographic footprint, accelerate the transition to SaaS, automation and robotics, as well as to develop innovative digital solutions to support customers.

Körber has also been diligent about growth from an organizational standpoint. Recently, the company acquired enVista’s Enspire Commerce™ omnichannel platform and global Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) services. With this acquisition, Kӧrber moved its strategy forward to become the global supply chain software champion.
