Demonstrating its high-volume capabilities in the field, a recent deployment for an APEC-region dip manufacturer is successfully running paper-based tubs at 110 wraps per minute.
The development of the WAS-120 Wrap-Around Sleever represents a direct engineering iteration built upon real-world experience. Following the deployment of the WAS-150 ESTRENA in 2022, Zhiwei Bao utilized frontline feedback from yogurt and ready-meal packaging lines to identify core mechanical bottlenecks. Spearheading the R&D as both executive and design engineer, Bao secured critical intellectual property, including Chinese Patent CN221796194U for an advanced rotary feeding mechanism and overarching protection under Patent CN122426417A. “We learn from our landed projects, spot underlying improvements, and stage our model iterations to directly address production pain points,” stated Zhiwei Bao.
Technically, the WAS-120 operates as an autonomous, full-servo-driven ecosystem utilizing synchronized independent axes for each mechanical section. Built with a heavy-duty, full stainless-steel frame, the machine combines strict IP-compliant hygiene standards with recipe-based automated changeovers, allowing operators to instantly recall operational configurations. Expanding far beyond traditional single-tray handling, the new platform seamlessly accommodates complex multipacks and optional beverage cluster configurations, optimizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) for global manufacturers.
