Discover Mencom’s TM Series plastic junction boxes, designed for superior protection in harsh industrial environments.
From the busy hum of production lines amidst swirling dust or applications in wet and corrosive environments, there is one critical element among other industrial components: the Junction Box. Electrical systems, and more importantly, the safety of workers, can be compromised if the components inside are not protected. That is why Mencom introduces the new TM Series plastic electrical junction boxes designed to provide superior protection and functionality in harsh environments.
The TM Series plastic junction boxes, compliant with the international standard IEC 60670, ensure strict adherence to quality and safety regulations. The housing is made of halogen-free thermoplastic and comes in a gray RAL 7012 color to blend in with various environments. They feature 5 mm thick enclosure walls with surface indentations to help end users position and punch holes. They also include stainless-steel captive screws to seal the box, providing protection against atmospheric conditions, aggressive chemical agents, and UV rays. The gaskets are made of anti-aging elastomer ensuring IP66/67 rating for exceptional protection against dust, water, and any external elements.

The new TM series junction boxes come ready for the assembly of fixing plates or DIN rails to mount diverse electrical components. The fixing plates are constructed from durable zinc-plated steel and include screws for secure installation.
Specifically engineered for aggressive environments, the TM Series plastic junction boxes will be an excellent choice for demanding conditions where exposure to chemicals, UV radiation, or harsh conditions is common while their robust construction provides the adequate protection for internal components to ensure reliable performance.

In this episode, I sat down with Beejan Giga, Director | Partner and Caleb Emerson, Senior Results Manager at Carpedia International. We discussed the insights behind their recent Industry Today article, “Thinking Three Moves Ahead” and together we explored how manufacturers can plan more strategically, align with their suppliers, and build the operational discipline needed to support intentional, sustainable growth. It was a conversation packed with practical perspectives on navigating a fast-changing industry landscape.
