February 8, 2023 iWeb Technologies Transitions to Leaseweb Canada

Cloud and server hosting services provider announces new name and product launches for Canadian customers.

Leaseweb Global, a leading cloud services and hosting company, announced that iWeb Technologies, Inc., has completed its transition to become Leaseweb Canada. The transition addresses demand in the region for Leaseweb’s dedicated high-performing servers, and ensures that customers have the performance, security and control that will allow them to grow their business at a global scale.

Since Leaseweb acquired iWeb in August 2021, with the intent of building its presence in Canada, the market has become one of the company’s largest regions by revenue. Today, Leaseweb Canada [https://www.leaseweb.com/leaseweb-offers-services-canada?utm_source=PR&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=Canada_Launch&utm_content=Canada] offers cloud hosting and dedicated servers from three climate-friendly data centers in Montreal, all of which are 100% powered by hydroelectricity. In addition, further focus is dedicated to supporting Canadian companies migrating to the cloud in pursuit of innovation and the next frontier of growth.

As part of the launch, the company will be holding a customer and partners event later in the year and rolling out a number of Leaseweb products to the Canadian market over the coming months, including:

  • Acronis Backup – Advanced cloud-based backup for files, applications and complete systems that works with all of Leaseweb Dedicated Servers, Elastic Compute and Virtual Private Servers.
  • Leaseweb Cloud Connect – Hybrid cloud solution that provides fast and secure connectivity from Leaseweb-hosted infrastructure to a public cloud provider, including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Leaseweb VMware vSphere – Powerful single-tenant cloud deployed in a fully dedicated private rack, providing high hypervisor performance and the flexibility inherent to virtualization.

“Today marks an exciting new chapter for our Canadian team and our customers, giving them access to a larger network footprint and a growing portfolio of services in public and private cloud,” said Roger Brulotte, CEO of Leaseweb Canada. “And while we may be operating under a new name, what is not changing is our personalized, customer-centric approach to delivering infrastructure solutions that help companies take their business to the next level.”
