New low-cost scanners designed specifically for stringent needs of aerospace, petrochemical and other industrial testing sectors.
Celina, TX – Iberis Software has released the Vscan NDT Pro, an industrial film digitizer for the nondestructive testing (NDT) and radiography testing (RT) industry. The scanner is a lower-cost alternative to the more expensive laser scanners currently used throughout the NDT industry.
The Vscan NDT Pro is specifically designed to address the stringent needs of the aerospace, petrochemical and other industrial testing sectors. It offers consistently high-image quality with a scanning speed that is double that of many digitizers.
“This comes at a critical time for the NDT industry which continues to ramp up its transition from film radiography to digital,” explains Scott Shuppert, CEO of XrayScan.com. “However, the number of available scanners that can meet the ruggedness required for NDT work has been sorely missing.”
The NDT Pro is lighter, has a smaller footprint, and can handle film as small as 2.36″ wide and up to 51″ long. It also has an automatic digitizer calibration feature that ensures there are no variations in image quality, delivering high-quality grayscale reproduction in every image.
The NDT Pro is available in the U.S. at Xrayscan.com and to the Federal Government through a GSA schedule under CAD / CAM Services, the parent company of Xrayscan.com.
Iberis Software Limited was established in 2009 in Spain as a high-tech startup catering to the IT needs of healthcare, and expanded to focus on industrial markets in 2013.
