WASHINGTON, DC – We are excited to announce Carroll Thomas is joining the Subcity mission as a senior advisor!

Carroll Thomas, the former Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP), brings over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing sector to support Subcity’s mission of empowering small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across America.

“Adding Carroll is fantastic for Subcity and our clients,” said Gil Gonzales, President, and Co-Founder of Subcity. “Her past role at NIST MEP and her decades long career focused on supporting small & medium manufactures across the U.S. perfectly align with our mission. As Senior Advisor, her expert advice will be focused on providing strategic guidance in how we best support small & medium manufacturers with our technology along with driving partnerships discussions for Subcity and MEPs, trade organizations and the overall manufacturing ecosystem.”

In her role at Subcity, Carroll will also play a pivotal role in cultivating the company’s relationships with manufacturing business owners, enabling them to invest more, grow faster, and thrive in the current economic climate. With an extensive career spanning the public and private sectors, Thomas is well-equipped to contribute to Subcity’s vision of equal access to economic incentives for businesses of all sizes.

“I am looking forward to working with the Subcity team,” said Thomas. “In today’s economy, it’s important for business owners to understand the financial advantages available to them. This platform makes a big difference in boosting the strength and competitiveness of American manufacturers, fueling growth, and making a positive impact on the industry as a whole.”

Carroll Thomas’s appointment as Senior Advisor marks a significant milestone for Subcity as it strengthens its commitment to leveling the playing field for businesses seeking government incentives and tax credits.

About Subcity:
Subcity empowers small businesses, CPAs, and finance professionals to identify and apply for economic incentives and tax credits. Each year, over $100 billion is allocated for incentives across local, state, and federal programs in the U.S. Unfortunately, a significant portion of this money goes unclaimed or to large corporations with teams of tax attorneys and legal experts.

Subcity utilizes a comprehensive database of incentives to connect small businesses with the programs that were designed to help them create jobs, invest in their communities, and grow their business. Subcity charges a 10-20% fee for the programs they successfully secure, ensuring zero risk for clients as payment is contingent on results. Subcity is on a mission to democratize access to capital for America’s small businesses and has already delivered tens of millions of dollars in tax incentives for clients across the country.
