Sightline Commercial Solutions has tapped Bill MacDonald as its new Senior Preconstruction Manager.
MINNEAPOLIS – To further strengthen its capabilities as a concept-to-completion provider, Sightline Commercial Solutions, a leading fabricator and global supplier of architectural railing, metal, glazing and portable platform solutions for the commercial, sports venue, live entertainment and performing arts industries, has tapped Bill MacDonald as its new Senior Preconstruction Manager. Bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and project planning expertise, MacDonald will lead the company’s railing projects – from preconstruction through final bidding and contracting – overseeing plans, budgets and schedules before construction begins.
“With more than 15 years in the architectural glass and glazing industry, Bill’s experience is unmatched and will prove invaluable for deepening our engagement with decision-makers in this active market,” said Jon Chase, chief engineering officer at Sightline Commercial Solutions. “His understanding of the intricacies of glass and glazing, coupled with his proven success leading project teams and overseeing business development, make him the perfect fit to help drive our company forward.”
Previously, MacDonald led preconstruction efforts in Kansas City and the surrounding region as Vice President of Business Development for 8G Solutions, a national façade manufacturing and installation company. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in leadership positions with Architectural Glass Works, initially leading the planning and implementation of projects and, ultimately, assuming responsibilities for identifying and quantifying project costs, supporting business goals in collaboration with executive management, and developing and coordinating in-house training programs for staff.
“Bill is a goal-driven leader who maintains a productive climate and motivates, mobilizes and coaches others to meet high performance standards,” added Chase. “Coupled with his resourcefulness, exemplary planning and organizational skills, and collaborative and successful partnerships with clients, we are confident in his ability to solidify our position as an industry leader and usher in a new era of growth and innovation.”
“Sightline’s commitment to excellence and reputation for delivering best-in-class, customer-centric support resonates deeply with me,” noted MacDonald. “I’m excited to join such an innovative and accomplished team and look forward to playing a key role in further elevating the company as the supplier of choice for creative, custom and comprehensive solutions.”
