MARK Basic multi range comes with effortless scanning from 4 to 98 inches, Advanced Scanning includes Multiscan and Continuous Scanning.
CHICAGO / NEW YORK – At NRF 2024, ProGlove is set to introduce MARK Basic multi range and Advanced Scanning software features. MARK Basic multi range is a new flexible range scanner, while Advanced Scanning is part of ProGlove’s INSIGHT Visibility software solution. Both products address the needs of the retail industry and will be on display for NRF attendees January 14-16 at the ProGlove booth, #5781.
Rugged, ergonomic, and lightweight: MARK Basic multi range is an adaptable wearable scanner. With configurable feedback and advanced scanning modes, this new device can help increase productivity by up to 20%. Seamlessly integrated into the ProGlove ecosystem, MARK Basic multi range covers distances from 4 to 98 inches. The latest ProGlove scanner is IP54-rated for durability in harsh environments. With 8,000 scans per battery charge, it excels in productivity. It also operates seamlessly in temperatures from 32°F to 122°F.
MARK Basic multi range is a barcode scanner that addresses the needs of retail warehousing: Pick & Consolidation use cases in food warehouses require an ideal scanning range from 4 to more than 90 inches to scan location and item barcodes. Throughout the task, workers are constantly moving on a pallet truck, getting on and off at regular intervals. With MARK Basic multi range, workers have the flexibility to scan locations up to 8 feet from the vehicle. This will be possible while still having a fast-scanning experience for close-range items, without workers having to adjust their arm posture to un-ergonomic positions.
But MARK Basic multi range goes beyond the needs of food and beverage warehouses to include non-food environments like apparel and furniture. The latest ProGlove scanner is also an excellent choice for in-store picking scenarios. Additionally, MARK Basic multi range can leverage its strengths in postal distribution centers, intralogistics production sites, or assembly lines.
Advanced Scanning is a software feature add-on provided by ProGlove INSIGHT. It upscales ProGlove’s handheld scanners to high frequency scanning environments. Advanced Scanning includes Continuous Scanning and Multiscan. Both must be enabled in ProGlove INSIGHT.
Designed for speed and volume, Continuous Scanning captures multiple barcodes in rapid succession. Holding the trigger, operators can hover their scanners over the barcodes to transmit up to 10 scans per session to the WMS or ERP system without predefined rules. This makes Continuous Scanning ideal for tasks where volume and speed are paramount, and the specific order or characteristics of the barcodes are less important.
Multiscan is a rules-based scanning mode that provides accuracy beyond batch scanning of a single item. This helps organizations automate bar code entry into WMS or ERP applications. When enabled, Multiscan only captures the necessary barcodes from an item. It then sends them to the application in the desired order and enters the information into the correct fields of the application. As a result, Multiscan adds control and accuracy to an organization’s high-frequency scanning environments. The capability is particularly useful when it’s critical to capture up to 5 barcodes in a single scan and transmit them in a specific order.
“We are thrilled to showcase our new products at NRF 2024, the world’s largest retail event. With MARK Basic multi range and Advanced Scanning, we are offering our customers more flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy in their scanning operations,” said Stefan Lampa, CEO of ProGlove. “Whether in the warehouse or in-store, our wearable scanners can adapt to any environment or task. We believe that our products can empower the workers and transform the retail industry.”
