AutoStore’s modular design enables Japanese partners to customize warehouse solutions, optimizing adaptability and efficiency.
NEDRE VATS, Norway – AutoStore™, the leading technology company in automated warehouse solutions, is proud to have supported its partners in Japan with the development of the “T-Robot Storage Production solution” for manufacturing applications. This initiative, launched in Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with Taisei Corporation and Toyo Kanetsu K.K., underscores the value of AutoStore’s standandardized modular product design that allows partners to tailor solutions to specific customer needs, serving as a foundational building block for any warehouse configuration.
The “T-Robot Storage Production System” utilizes AutoStore’s highly efficient automated storage technology within a 3D-assembled grid. Robots equipped with advanced picking functions navigate tracks built above this grid to transport assembly parts directly to various production stations. This integration directly supports just-in-time manufacturing by minimizing intermediate handling and maintaining continuous production flows.
By focusing on space-saving and automation, the system reduces the physical footprint of storage areas and the labor involved in material transport. Sub-storages strategically placed above each process area ensure prompt material supply, streamlining production and enhancing efficiency.
AutoStore continues to work collaboratively with Taisei Corporation and Toyo Kanetsu K.K., driving forward the potential of robotic automation in manufacturing to tackle industry challenges effectively.
