Phoenix – Olsson has appointed David Hertzberg to spearhead its operations in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Hertzberg began serving in the Southwest geography leader role earlier this month. He will focus on developing and executing strategies to grow Olsson’s brand, reputation and clients within the region.

Hertzberg brings more than 20 years of experience leading construction-based organizations. He was most recently the president of an alternative energy firm and has experience driving both sustainability and operational efficiency for a multitude of clients.

“David brings a wealth of leadership experience and regional knowledge that make him a great fit to grow Olsson’s business in our Southwest geography,” said Ron Mersch, Olsson’s Chief Operating Officer. “I’m very excited to have him at Olsson and to see all he will accomplish in his role.”

A Phoenix native, Hertzberg has served on the board of Keep Phoenix Beautiful since 2015. He also is one of the founders and previous chairman of Big Dig for Kids, which partners with construction industry leaders to raise funds for cancer patients.

Hertzberg is an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED.) He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sustainability leadership at Arizona State University.

Olsson is an engineering firm of people who craft expert solutions and designs that improve communities. The firm offers design and consulting services in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental and technology. For more information, visit olsson.com.
