Universal Woods changes name, logo and look to ‘Better Reflect Breadth of Company’ to align with irreplicable expertise.
Louisville, KY – Universal Woods, the world’s leading manufacturer of hard surface products for sublimation and mezzanine decking material has relaunched its corporate brand to reflect the multitude of innovative products it has grown to offer. The most notable part of this brand refresh is its name change – Universal Woods is now UW Solutions™. The new name emphasizes the company’s most powerful differentiator – innovative, game-changing coating solutions.
This refresh is part of a series of strategic advancements made over the past few years. In 2019, UW Solutions acquired their coating supplier R&D Coatings® to bring this capability in-house. R&D Coatings is a manufacturer that specializes in the formulation, development, and manufacturing of UV and EB curable finishes. Coatings were specifically developed for their brands ChromaLuxe®, a premium print media designed for professional photographers; Unisub®, blank sublimation products made for the photo gift industry; and ResinDek®, the premier choice for engineered wood mezzanine floor systems. UW Solutions uses a state-of-the-art manufacturing process to apply these coatings to a variety of substrates for each brand it supports.
Recognized leaders within their respective industries, UW Solutions’ brands are seeing significant year over year growth. ChromaLuxe and Unisub continue to expand within their respective industries, and in 2022, the UW Solutions completed construction on a $15 million greenfield manufacturing facility in a suburb of Louisville, Kentucky to enable its ResinDek manufacturer, Cornerstone, to double its output. Customers can expect the same great customer experience, with the added benefit of increased capacity to support their growing markets.
“Our company continues to push boundaries in the industries where we operate, providing innovative, problem-solving coating solutions that will help redefine the future for our customers,” said Bob Rowan, President/CEO UW Solutions. “We are excited to redefine our brand to better reflect the breadth of our company, aligning with who we are today, and the many incredible possibilities for who we will be tomorrow.”
