INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – Catalyst Product Development Group, Inc. today announced that the company has received ISO 9001:2015 certification. This achievement will serve both current and prospective clients searching for creative, cost-effective, cutting-edge man- ufacturing and contract assembly solutions beyond the design and development services for which Catalyst has set the standard since 1999.

Acquiring the ISO 9001:2015 certification of compliance in manufacturing serves as a testament to Catalyst’s commitment to clients focused on reshoring and dual sourcing efforts, short-run, and specialty manufacturing solutions, as well as Minimally Viable Product plans. High standards of quality, repeatability, and enhanced documentation within the Catalyst product development process enables R&D projects to proceed direct to market with a single, domestic manufacturing partner.

Currently serving clients with production quotas in the tens of thousands, future manufacturing goals greatly exceed current capacity through the addition of automation and smart manufacturing techniques. Catalyst expects immediate revenue impact through exist- ing partnerships and additional market access as a direct result of ISO certification.

Catalyst brought on Wayne Loynes, Director of QA/Advanced Manufacturing, in 2021 to spearhead the manufacturing quality con- trol standards required for certification. Loynes’ prior experience in overseeing the development and manufacture of fuel station dispensers, gaming stations and gaming station printer solutions served to provide the vision and direction necessary to accomplish ISO certification.

Catalyst is unique in the respect that we serve many industries, all with different standards and requirements. The internal processes have been established to accommodate those unique needs for years which in turn streamlines the certification process. We consider the expansion and ISO certification as important steps to continue supporting our client’s needs into the future.”, said Loynes.

In addition to ISO certification and to support Advanced Manufacturing efforts, Catalyst has recently invested heavily in new equip- ment funded partially through a Conexus grant awarded in 2021. The expansion includes additional injection molding presses, wire EDM capabilities, as well as enhanced additive manufacturing technologies. Specialized full-time positions have been added in the Engineering, Production and Quality Control departments.

Catalyst Managing Executive, Jason Andrews has also been instrumental in achieving the simultaneous goals of expansion and certi- fication to meet growing client demands.

For decades, Catalyst has proven to be the hallmark for complete product development within a single partner with services ranging from design to engineering, rapid prototyping and manufacture. We recognized the opportunity to better serve our clientele and gain access to markets that required ISO certification. Demand for our services has risen dramatically, especially in rapid tooling and manu- facture for companies seeking to reshore operations post-COVID. Catalyst has always been committed to investing in our clients’ needs and anticipates future growth through similar efforts.
