Spanish Fork, UT — OSH Cut CEO, Caleb Chamberlain, announced last week that their second U.S. factory is nearly operational and will be located in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The company plans on investing $10 million to equip the 70,000 square-foot facility for on-demand metal fabrication, and it is anticipated that 70 new jobs will be created by the expansion.

OSH Cut CEO, Caleb Chamberlain, officially announces the location of OSH Cut EAST

OSH Cut is known for pioneering the self-serve, online model for ordering custom tube and sheet metal parts. Customers upload their own CAD files to oshcut.com to instantly view pricing, manufacturability feedback, and then choose a rapid lead time. Automating the front-office functions and subsequent workflows makes it possible for clients to iterate quickly, order with confidence, and receive their needed parts in as little as 1 day.

As indicated in OSH Cut’s announcement video, their additional coverage and capacity outside of Utah will benefit all customers, but particularly those located East of the Mississippi River, which account for 43% of their current client base.

“Cincinnati is a great location because it gives us 1 to 2 day Ground proximity to the vast majority of our customers,” explained Chamberlain. “It’ll accelerate shipping times and decrease costs by a lot.”

Directing his comments to these Eastern US clients, Chamberlain mused, “You wouldn’t think when you’re looking for a metal fab shop that people are going to look at Utah and say ‘Yeah, I want to order from those guys’, but it is a massive percentage of our business, and we appreciate you giving us a chance, even though we’re across the country.”

“Now, we hope to be right in your backyard. We’ll get you parts faster and maintain that positive experience that you’ve come to expect from OSH Cut.”

OSH Cut directly serves every known industry, including the DIY community, by providing the following rapid turnaround services: Sheet Metal Cutting, Brake Bending, Metal Finishing, Tapping, Countersinking, Hardware Insertion, Tube Laser Cutting, CNC Tube Bending and Powder Coating.
